This time of year one of our favorite things to do is to get all cuddled up and watch Christmas movies. Thereโ€™s something about having Christmas lights twinkling all around that makes it all the more cozy. Itโ€™s easy to give your living room a bit of a holiday spruce to make it feel more festive

First things first, throw up a Christmas tree.ย Weโ€™ve always put a Christmas tree in our living room. Even when we had a tiny living room, I made sure to squeeze in that tree and all of its glory!

I love having lots of pops of vibrant red in our living room tree. Rustic Christmas is a theme throughout our home (here) (here) and (here) so I kept it going on this tree. I have all kinds of ornaments and bulbs on our rustic Christmas tree. I love glass ornaments, theyโ€™re not always practical, but I love them. I mix glass, felt, knit, metal and wood ornaments plus throw in some fuzzy ones as well. I also love finding neat Santas and cute gnomes for this tree.

A vibrant, faux fur tree skirt is the icing on the cake. I like my tree skirts to have a bit of pouf so I fluff towels underneath them to puff them up a bit.

I found this sleigh a few years back and love it for present storage.
ย This year Iโ€™ve seen cute sleighs for sale all over. We donโ€™t go overly crazy with presents but sometimes itโ€™s hard stuffing them all under the tree, so a cute sleigh is the perfect tree accessory ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ›ท
This time of year, I always buy red flowers, usually roses or carnations, add a bit of greenery and stick them in small vases all over the house. Itโ€™s a great little way to bring some holiday cheer to any space.

Have hurricanes in your living room? Thereโ€™s nothing easier than wrapping some berries around a candle holder for a little festive flare.ย  ย

Fuzzy pillows and blankets top it all off! The fluff and velvet warm up the leather and entice you to cuddle up, turn on your favorite holiday movie and get cozy in your Christmas living room.

Happy decorating ๐ŸŽ„
